Consumers Credit Union Breaks Ground on Two New Offices in Lansing

Kalamazoo, MICH — Consumers Credit Union is pleased to announce construction has begun on two new 2,217-square-foot offices in Lansing. One at 2763 E. Grand River Avenue sits just off Michigan State University’s campus near Okemos, and the other is located at 2305 Lake Lansing Road. The Lake Lansing office will be part of Eastwood Towne Center, an upscale shopping district with dining options.

Each will offer a full financial experience, including personal checking, savings, credit cards, mortgages, full-service lending and banking, investments and education.

We are thrilled to grow our footprint in Lansing even as other regional and national banks are shuttering their doors,” said Scott Sylvester, president and CEO of Consumers Credit Union. “The community has been welcoming to us, and we are eager to serve the banking needs of even more members in the area.”

Both offices will feature Consumers’ innovative TellerPlus+ technology in both the lobby and two drive-thru lanes. Each location will also include a free coffee bar, wireless banking stations with Wi-Fi, loan and member service office areas. Our five-star mobile app and award-winning online banking wraps up the Consumers experience.

Partners on the project include contractor WIELAND and building designers Bosch Architecture.

“We’re excited to partner with Consumers as they expand to serve the Lansing community,” said Steve Opper, partner/vice president of new business development at WIELAND. “They are committed to excellence in banking just as we are in construction, so we can appreciate the passion put into these projects.”

Despite a unique economic landscape featuring unprecedented rate increases, Consumers is expected to outperform the financial industry with 6% growth in a year where zero to negative growth is the norm.
