A few months ago, my growing 15-year old son needed some new pants. He had saved up some money and wanted to purchase a few pairs. We went to the mall and walked into a store we had never been to. As we entered the store, a saleswoman approached us and I readied myself for the all-too-common question we?ve all grown accustomed to:

?Can I help you find something??

However, that?s not what she said. Instead, the saleswoman said, ?I bet you came in looking for pants.? As I was about to respond with a; ?Nope. We are just looking.? I realized she didn?t ask the question that I was expecting. The statement caught me off guard, and in our shopping mode I simply answered, ?Yes, we are.?
