First Capital Federal Credit Union Welcomes New Branch Manager
York, PA – First Capital Federal Credit Union is pleased to welcome Melinda (Mindi) Funk as the new South York Branch Manager. Mindi joins the First Capital team with more than 35 years of banking experience with a passion for helping others reach their financial goals. Mindi has also spent a large part of her career giving back to the community through various volunteer opportunities. In this role, she will oversee the operations of the South York Branch and provide the best possible in-branch member experience.
Mindi began her career as a teller at what is now known as M & T Bank and worked her way up to head teller. After 14 years, Melinda accepted an assistant manager role with Fulton Bank. And, during her 18 years with Fulton, she was promoted to Financial Center Manager/Vice President. In 2021, Mindi accepted the Business Center Manager position with Univest Bank in York. Then moved into a Financial Center Manager/Assistant Vice President role with PeoplesBank. She remained with PeoplesBank and transitioned into a new role as the Business Solutions Sales Specialist. But, once the Branch Manager role opened at First Capital, Mindi jumped at the chance to join the First Capital team.
“The difference I’ve seen after spending years in the banking industry and now making the move to a credit union is exciting,” said Mindi. “I finally feel like I work for an organization that truly values its members and the community it serves.”
