AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – June 1, 2020 – Cornerstone Community Financial (CCF), a leading community-focused credit union with seven branches and 23,000 members throughout SE Michigan and the Toledo, Ohio-area, has welcomed Mark Evenson to its leadership team in the role of vice president of retail services. The announcement was made by CCF President and CEO, Heidi Kassab (pictured below).
In his new role, Evenson (right), is responsible for overseeing CCF’s network of retail branches and branchmanagement, as well as leading the credit union’s sales strategies and service experience. He brings to his role more than 15 years of experience in financial management, accounting, compliance, operations management and business development.
“Our retail branches are the face of our organization to our members and the community, and we are thrilled to now have Mark’s expertise in managing, mentoring and motivating branch leadership as part of our executive team resources,” said Kassab. “We are excited about the ideas and energy he brings to further developing our dynamic retail services team, which will ensure the highest quality of membership experiences.”
Evenson has worked in the financial services industry since 2004, most recently serving as manager of finance, administration and compliance for AMDG Financial in Plymouth, Mich.
“Having the opportunity to lead such a service-focused team at CCF has been amazing so far,” said Evenson. “I can’t wait to see what we accomplish together moving forward.”
Evenson is a Michigan native with a bachelor of arts degree in Management from Eastern Michigan University and a master of science in Corporate Finance from Walsh College of Accountancy in Novi, Mich. He and his family are currently relocating from Novi to South Lyon, Mich.
In addition to his professional pursuits, Evenson currently serves in a volunteer capacity as president of the Plymouth Rotary After Hours Club.
